It started like this…
Just an average table that someone had mod podged with a fun print. This is what caught my eye. Unfortunately, the mod podge top was dirty, stained and torn in places.
Using Annie Sloan Giverny chalk paint (previous dresser painted in Giverny HERE), I applied a quick coat of paint over the entire table, including the top. It dried very quickly (one light coat) and I used 150 grit sandpaper to sand over the entire piece. I really went to town on this one because I wanted it to look really distressed and I also wanted the pattern of the paper to peek through. The whole piece was waxed in Annie Sloan clear to seal it.
Here is the result. I just love the fun pop of blue on this piece. Really drab to fab! This little table is being auctioned to benefit a local animal rescue group, PetConnect Rescue. We adopted our Harper and Tilly through PetConnect. They are a wonderful group of dedicated people who really make a difference and I hope this little table gets a few bids!
Hope your week is going well!
