This week’s highlight is General Finishes Driftwood. I am showing it here by itself and also with an added glaze.
Driftwood is a fantastic, deep, gray/blue color. I have it in my kitchen on my vintage secretary and my farmhouse kitchen table. I also like to add General Finishes Winter White glaze over Driftwood to create a really beautiful effect. Here it is on the Drexel French Dresser.
Another Paint Color Highlight next Saturday!
Have a great weekend!
Robin
I was looking at this post because I’ve never used driftwood. But as I was looking at the pictures, I was reminded at what a wide range of talent you have. You’re never limited by a color or technique…and everything you do is always exquisite. You are truly an inspiration for anyone who stops by to read about your latest transformation… 🙂

Thank you, Robin. To hear those words from such a talented lady herself is so appreciated. Sweet friend! BTW, love your “new” kitchen. I may have to copy 😉

I haven’t used this finish before and it looks great on all of the pieces that you have done. You just make this look so easy with all of your work

Thanks Tracy and actually, GF milk paint is easy! I love it. So smooth and the finish is perfection. Thanks!

That looks amazing w/the white glaze! I saw this color and wanted to buy it. I should have! Love GF milk paint.

Beautiful job! I really like GF milk paint but have never tried their glazes. I love how you paired the driftwood with the white glaze, it’s such a pretty finish!
Suzanne
Oh, you need to try their glazes! Winter white is my fave 🙂

You totally blow my away by your skills lady! You transition so easily from chalk paint to milk paint to glazes and wax. Mad skills. Thanks so much for linking this up to our Something to Talk About Link Party. Hope you’re having a happy week, CoCo
