Happy Tuesday! Today I’m sharing a few pics of our family room Christmas decor. For my new viewers, you can see the procession of the room through the years here (Benjamin Moore Guilford Green Family Room with Thrift Store Finds).
Here it is before. Darker brick and dated.
To lighter and brighter now! The main changes in the room were whitewashing the brick, painting the paneling and beams and changing out the floors. This year, I took the simple mason jars and added some greenery from my back yard. I think they look festive next to the nutcrackers and other assorted Christmas decor.
Our tree is not real. We purchased it when my 17 year old daughter was a newborn (born November 29). We were out Christmas tree shopping with Ella and 2 year old Matthew in the car. She began crying that frantic newborn cry in her car seat. My husband drove us home and went straight to Kmart and purchased this tree. We’ve used it ever since! I love it because it has no pretense…it spins! Yes, my spinning, truly fake tree that does not try to be real 🙂
I am finally done with decorating!
