A quick post that is very late getting out today! I only just finished this piece and took a few quick pics to share with you all.
Before:The technique is the exact same as I described in yesterday’s post – A Vintage Dresser in Duck Egg Blue.

I absolutely love your work, but oh my gosh…I couldn’t help but shed a tear for the beautiful wood grain in this dresser!
i agree, a tear fell when I looked at the before, even though you do beautiful work Suzanne, this one was in such good condition.
Incredibly beautiful. The highlighting is just phenomenal. You go from strength to strength.
I agree, the wood was pretty, but the furniture’s owner wanted it painted — and how smart were they to go to someone who would make it equally as lovely? More importantly, paint isn’t permanent and doesn’t harm the wood — If the owner’s taste changes in 5 years, it can always be stripped and restained good as new! 😀 😀
Love it, Love it, You’ve brought new life to this dresser !
Oh, Suzanne, this one is breathtaking. It looks like a piece of furniture I’d expect to find at Versailles. Cheers, Ardith
Thanks you SO much! Ardith, this is exactly what I was trying to achieve and to read your comment really made me smile! Thanks!
when it was brown the details didn’t hardly show now the looks gorgeous love it xx
Thanks, Chris! I must agree. There are definitely some pieces that I would not paint but this was definitely not one of them. Cheers!
Just fantastic work. Very impressed. Your so inspiring. Thanks. Love it. 😀
Thank you so much, Marcie! So kind!
Awww, lovely. You are an artist.
Your details are amazing and so inspiring! You woke that piece up! I can’t stop looking at the perfect imperfections that were all but invisible before! Donna
Once again you have our done yourself! Lovely. Cyn
Thanks, Cyn! BTW, I am totally on board with the green paint idea. Just waiting for school to start to execute 🙂
I love the way you add gold gilding wax to your pieces Suzanne – so soft and subtle and just makes those details pop without taking center stage. Another stunner makeover girl!
Just beautiful. It looks now the way it was suppose to be. It was nice and classy years ago , it is stunning now. I kept enlarging the original picture and if took a while until I found the details in the mirror frame, the new paint just brings them up. I love it.
That is one beauty!
