A Dresser for Lauren

20 September, 2013 by Suzanne

My friend and neighbor, Jen, has an incredibly sweet and gorgeous little girl named Lauren.  She is blond and absolutely cute as a button.  This little dresser has been in Jen’s family for years and she is now planning on moving it into Lauren’s room.  Hence, time for a makeover!lauren12  We decided a soft grey with white undertones would stand the test of time and still look soft and adorable in a little girl’s room.  Annie Sloan’s Old White and Paris Grey were just what this piece needed.lauren

This is such a lovely, curvy piece.  The sides and top have such soft lines…lauren13lauren2The bottom is so unusual the way it stands off the ground.lauren8

Even more curvy lines along the bottom…lauren7

Glass pulls add sparkle and set off the flower carving on the top drawer…lauren10lauren5

A sweet dresser for a sweet girl!  lauren14

Love the two tone…layering. It creates a nice softness and crystal knobs always add a little sparkle.

I really wish I did but it was a custom job and I don’t have it to look at any longer. How strange that you have a matching piece! I have never seen one like it before!
