So sorry that the website was down for a few days! I am so glad to be back up and running 🙂 Here is a great post about one of my favorite things – getting rid of all that clutter!
Are you having issues with clutter in or on your property? No matter what you do it seems like clutter is always messing up the place? Well, not anymore because, on this blog, you’re going to discover some smart ways to get rid of the clutter and create an open space in your home that you are sure to adore. Are you ready to get started?
Build Your Walk-In Closet
After all, who doesn’t want a walk-in wardrobe in their home? We bet you do and if you don’t already, it’s will be a dream come true and it’s actually easier to achieve than you think. To create your own walk-in wardrobe all you need to do is build a fake wall in your bedroom or perhaps a spare room that you haven’t found a proper use for just yet. It can be a DIY job and this video can show you how it’s done.
You’re probably wondering how this helps with the clutter. Doesn’t it just take away space that you used to have in your room? Well, yes and no. Yes, it will give you less bedroom space but it will ensure that you have more enclosed space. You can use this to store the things that are currently filling up your room. This allows you to keep them out of sight and well…out of mind. I’m actually contemplating building a built-in closet along the wall of our sitting room off our bedroom. I can move the armoire to the other side of the room and add a nice sized closet along the left wall.
Invest In Storage Furniture
Another possibility is to add some storage furniture to your home. This could include anything from a sofa to a storage bed. Storage beds are available at a wide range of different prices and can provide drawer space underneath the mattress. Or, another possibility is that the entire mattress will lift up providing a full area for everything that you need to keep tidy in your room. Sofas and other furniture storage options work in roughly the same way.
Shelving
Shelving is another great option to consider. With shelving, you can make sure that you are making the most out of ceiling space around your property. Shelves are very easy to install and can be set up in a matter of minutes. Since they also come in a wide variety of styles, you’re sure to find a type that matches the design and aesthetic of your property.
Decorate With Crockery
Finally, we’ll leave you with a way to declutter the kitchen. You might find that there are lots of things cluttering your countertops that don’t fit into cupboards or drawers. If that’s the case, you should think about getting a storage wall hanging. You can use this to put the crockery as well as pots and pans up on the wall. Similarly, you can think about using magnetic strips. These can be great for getting the knives and other larger utensils that don’t fit in the drawers up and out of the way.
I hope you love these ideas for decluttering your home, particularly if you’re low on space!
