Hi Suzanne, I LOVE your blog and your creations are an inspiration! I recently bought a bookcase on Craigslist and purchased my first Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. My question – what is a “wash”? Do you use it over paint?
Suzanne
Hi Michele, a wash is basically watered downed paint that you apply as a wash over an existing base coat. It creates a pretty look and is super fun to play around with. Different color washes can totally transform a piece. You should have fun and give it a try! Best of luck with your bookcase!

Hi Suzanne, That’s exactly the same technique I use to do a wash. Thanks for the video, I always love seeing your painting tutorials. Cheers 🙂

You are welcome! Great minds think alike lol!

Your website sucks between the pop ups and the constants barrage of having to sign up your email to this website it was such an annoyance. Truly a displeasure and very disenchanted what a waste of my time. I hate when you just want to read something and are sucked in to a mirage of BS!!!
