Favorite Find Monday – French Barrel Cane Chairs

18 January, 2016 by Suzanne

In a few weeks, I hope to be able to start on these vintage french barrel cane chairs.  Aren’t they just gorgeous?  My client is having them reupholstered (the original fabric is so beautiful but up close, it is damaged).  I am going to paint the chairs in a similar fashion to what they are currently.  I plan on fixing the damage and using gold and silver to create a beautiful finish.  They will look fabulous!

I love the shape of those chairs. I picked up a batch of furniture that had those weird black speckles all over them. Every piece had it. It makes you wonder what the manufacturer was thinking. Nothing that paint won’t fix.
