Now that the Fourth of July is over, I am in the process of putting together a bake sale. My daughter is infatuated with koalas – hence the “Save the Koala’s” bake sale. She has been baking for days, and made a sign, and will hold it this weekend in front of our local pool. She is trying to save $200 to send to the Australia Koala Foundation. She is a sweet heart 🙂
What with anniversary parties, swim team, and now saving a species from extinction, it has been a bit difficult to find time to paint. Here is what is waiting for me in my garage that (hopefully!) I can work on next week.
I have a “thing” for feet and curves. Yes, I said feet. If a piece of furniture has feet, it is coming home with me. I hope to make my little curvy desk with feet…into this…I saw this picture months ago and have been waiting patiently for the right piece to come along and now I have it! I actually think mine is prettier and – mine has feet! Love it.
This console table has feet too. It also has a really heavy shellac job on it as well as a missing drawer. But, it has feet, hence into the minivan it went! Drawer, shmore – I will find a way somehow to make another.
And, back to curves. Here is a sneak peek of my full of curves, long, gorgeous dresser that I told you has been calling to me for weeks now. I can’t WAIT to get my hands on this one!
Hope you all had a great July 4th! My Sophie won a third place ribbon for “Most Patriotic” – she is always first place in my mind!

I so much look forward to your frequent posts. I’ve been infused with a love of all curved wood antiques! Thank you for the inspiration.
Did you ever receive the two messages that I sent you, each one with a photo of the antique ‘grandma’ buffet which has been refinished in grey? Just curious. I love it.
