How-To Tuesday is a series that incorporates both brand new and newly edited posts from the archives. Enjoy!
Original post: How to Apply Annie Sloan Wax (Clear and Dark) Over Chalk Paint
Last week I shared How To: Waxes and Topcoats. This week, I’ll share how I apply the wax. The video below is from my YouTube Channel (subscribe here) and shows the application of Annie Sloan Clear and Dark Wax. However, it is the same process that is used with the application of any wax.
My dining room chairs were dark and boring.
I took my dining room chairs and painted each in a few coats of Annie Sloan Old White. I distressed the chairs and softly sanded the paint all over with 220 grit sandpaper to make the finish super smooth. I then applied AS clear and dark wax over the paint.
Here is a tutorial on the process of the wax application. Pretty simple for a beautiful and durable finish!
