I’m supposed to post my Favorite Find Mondays on well, Monday 🙂 but we had a big celebration over the weekend and i’m a bit behind! I will share the gorgeous vintage chest of drawers but first, let me share a few pics of my mother’s 80th birthday celebration! My sister and her family came for the party as well as my mother’s brother and sister from Canada. What a wonderful party!
Ok, back to work and this week’s favorite find 🙂 My sister and her family are counting down the weeks until they move into their newly renovated Brooklyn Carriage House (SERIES HERE). They brought down a few pieces in a UHaul truck that they knew I would want and one is this really gorgeous chest of drawers.
I’m going to have fun with this one 🙂
That’s your mom? she doesn’t even LOOK 80!!! wow, happy birthday to her! looks like you all had a great day. Not sure what day her b-day was, but mine was the 21st! ( I turned the dreaded age of 37.lol) Can’t wait to see your sister’s house – I bet it’s going to be soooo awesome when it’s finished!
Dreaded age of 37 really made me laugh! Happy Birthday to you! My mother’s bday is October 1st and she will love your comment! Thanks so much and yes, my sister’s house is really shaping up! We are so excited to see it finished!
Suzanne, thank you for sharing your lovely family photos. You and your sister share your mother’s beauty. I always look forward to your paint projects and have learned so much from you — thanks!
Thank you so much, Brenda! Your are so sweet!
What a happy family occassion!! Happy nd to your mom. The pic of your sis home…
The view makes me feel energized, city life. Lovely furniture she brought you. Is it
perchance two pieces? I was wondering if the top piece was upside down in the pix?
Hi Mary! Yes, her house is in a beautiful part of Brooklyn on a gorgeous street and you are right, it is energized! The two pieces she gave me are the dresser pictured and a gateleg table. The dresser in the back was purchased from a thrift store a few weeks ago and I’ll share soon! 🙂 cheers!
Wow! You and your sister certainly look alike!! How nice that you could celebrate together with your Mom and so many family members.
I have a dresser that is very similar to yours, so I’m anxious to see what you do with yours. I have a plan and may get to it this winter.
I have one boken drawer pull and they are very similar to yours. Are you going to use yours? If not, I might be interested in buying them!
Hi Beckie! If you send me your address ([email protected]) I will mail you a pull 🙂
Great looking family! Aren’t you all lucky to be able to get together!
I so look forward to seeing what you will do with this chest as it is almost exactly the same design as a bedroom set I have been trying to get the nerve up to paint.
Hi Sharon! Thanks so much! We are so lucky to have been able to be together for the big bday bash! Stay tuned on the chest as I’m working on it this week!
Oh my, you and your sister look so much a like! And you both look like your mom! Happy birthday to her!
Thank you, Ethel!
