I WAS GIVEN FREE PRODUCT TO TRY IN EXCHANGE FOR THIS POST. ALL STATEMENTS AND OPINIONS ARE 100% MY OWN.
Have any of you heard of a fantastic site called Uncommon Goods? It is full of, well, uncommon goods! Browsing through their site is akin to walking through a high end craft show. From home decor, art, jewelry, items for woman, men and kids, each piece has a story where you can read all about the artisan that creates and sells the product. If you are looking for a beautiful gift for someone special (and that includes yourself!) then you should head on over and peruse the gorgeous items.
They have a Christmas Gifts section which I plan to shop next month. Speaking of the holiday season of giving which is fast approaching, Uncommon Goods has a wonderful program, Better to Give. You shop and they donate $1 per purchase to a Better to Give partner of your choice from within their site. Uncommon Goods started this program 12 years ago and have since donated over $1,000,000. The charity of my choice was the IRC and there are many others to choose from.
I had the good fortune of being able to shop in their Home Decor section for a few pieces for my home. I was thrilled when they arrived and I also loved what was printed on the box!
As you may know, we have a large mantle and hearth in our family room. I had been looking for a statement piece to put in the center, directly over our fireplace. While shopping on Uncommon Goods, I found it with this handmade Personalized Maple Wall Clock. It is engraved with our name and 1994 – the year we were married. It is a treasure to keep forever and I am thrilled with it! It’s the perfect size for the mantle and definitely a one of a kind piece.
The hands are black on the other side, so they can be switched to either black or white depending on your preference. It is solid maple and beautifully crafted.
I also took down the summer decor, added my thrift store prints over the mantle, my vintage green velvet chair into the room and a few pops of orange and green. Fun for fall!
We are everything baseball in our house. What better way to show our baseball spirit than this Home Plate Doormat from Uncommon Goods Home and Garden section? So fun and certainly uncommon!
Going to the playoff game today…

The maple clock would make a wonderful wedding/anniversary gift.
