Here’s the big news… my interior paneled doors (Paneled Doors for Pennies) are being featured on Remodelaholic! I wrote a DIY post last year on how to create a paneled door for a fraction of the cost by adding molding. Remodelaholic has a great week of features running called Shut the Front Door full of different door projects and a link party if you wish to submit your own. My post goes live tomorrow!
I’ll quickly share a sneak peek at the Drexel Tourine dresser as it stands today. It took me two days to sand back the top and one section has some damage that just won’t sand out – perfectly imperfect! I actually love the wood and the rustic feel it gives the piece. The black sets it off nicely. Tomorrow it should finally be ready. The top has taken much longer than anticipated!

Congratulations, Suzanne! Features like that are so exciting.
Can’t wait to see your finished piece of furniture. I’m glad you decided to leave the bare wood even though it had some damage. To me, that is pure character!

Congratulations on your feature, Suzanne! I remember that post–what a clever idea! What is that phrase…the cream always rises to the top?! 😀
