My mother and I went to a thrift shop a few years ago and I suddenly heard her gasp and call my name. Was she sick? Were her last moments doomed to be in a thrift store? No, she had looked upwards and seen some fabulous, old, chippy blue farmhouse chairs. What a find! There were only three of them, unfortunately, but they were in great condition and the best part was that someone had already done all the work for me – they were perfect! Oh, they were also only $7 each – buah yah!
I mentioned how this was actually a few years ago so, why the share today? Because last week I was in Barnes & Noble in my favorite section and glanced up and it was my turn to gasp! There were my chairs! Well, not my exact chairs but pretty much spot on. Right on the cover of a fabulous book called Farmhouse Revival. The book is by two photographers who traveled all over the country in search of old farmhouses. The pictures of the homes and decor are just beautiful.
A few more shots of my chairs.
Great finds – don’t you think?

I never tire of looking at your blue farmhouse chairs…what a bargain and it’s nice to have a mom with eagle eyes you can count on. :O)

She does have eagle eyes lol! I learned from the best 🙂 Thanks so much!

I just love it when ‘a find’ is still loved and used years later!!!

Great chippy blue chairs-great find!

And I love how you’ve mixed them in with different chairs in another color. That technique really works today (a generation ago only matching chairs would do).
Oh, and did you buy the farmhouse book?
Suzanne
Thanks, Deb! I also love the look and in this case, it was necessary 🙂 Cheers!
