Remember the nesting tables I found a few weeks ago? When it came time to work on these, I had in mind the little diamond table (Diamond in the Rough) that I finished a year ago. However, these tables don’t have the lovely diamond inlay. I thought to try and create the look by using stain. I printed out a diamond shape graphic and cut it out in descending sizes. It took a lot of measuring to tape them on exactly in the middle of each table. I stained inside the shape with General Finishes Java Gel Stain. After that dried, I applied Minwax Early American stain on the entire top and General Finishes Oil Based Arm-R-Seal Urethane Topcoat for protection.
I painted the legs in Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Chateau Grey and voila! They’re done![twentytwenty][/twentytwenty]
