My kids are back at school which means time to organize the house a little. I decided to take an old table, a thrift store shelf, an Ikea light fixture and a farmhouse bookcase and repurpose them to create a homework/game table nook.
The table was painted in chalkpaint (Annie Sloan’s Versailles). It is great as there is a bench underneath for more storage.
The thrift store shelf looks sweet in red with the map on top.
I have always loved this little farmhouse find and am glad to give it a purpose!
The chairs were another find and had already been painted my favorite French country blue Vintage baskets make great storage solutions for homework necessities.
My kids are past the true “toy” stage. They do enjoy games – both classic and new. They can spend hours playing backgammon or dominoes.
