My kids are back at school which means time to organize the house a little. I decided to take an old table, a thrift store shelf, an Ikea light fixture and a farmhouse bookcase and repurpose them to create a homework/game table nook.
The table was painted in chalkpaint (Annie Sloan’s Versailles). It is great as there is a bench underneath for more storage.
The thrift store shelf looks sweet in red with the map on top.
I have always loved this little farmhouse find and am glad to give it a purpose!
The chairs were another find and had already been painted my favorite French country blue 🙂 Vintage baskets make great storage solutions for homework necessities.
My kids are past the true “toy” stage. They do enjoy games – both classic and new. They can spend hours playing backgammon or dominoes. For some fun finds, head on over to One Kings Lane Upcoming Sales. They are having a huge blowout sale and have a lot of fun classic games, books and accessories for your family room.
Adore this vintage globe!
Off to buy my soon to be 15 year old son a birthday present! Yikes – 15!
