In the future, life will return to normal and we may all want to give a party or two to celebrate!
If you are hosting a party then one of the most important things you need to consider is how you are going to decorate the venue. Read on for our checklist…
Define a budget
Before you can begin to consider the different ways to decorate your venue it is imperative that you define a budget. Sit down and assess your finances in order to determine how much you can set aside to spend on this section of your party. With all the fantastic decorations available nowadays, it can be very easy for you to go overboard and spend way more than you should have. Plus don’t forget services like junk removal, which you will need once the party is over. If you set a strict budget from the outside you can ensure that you shop sensibly.
Set the mood with the right lighting
The lighting you pick plays a crucial role in determining the vibe of the venue. You don’t want to go for anything that’s too bright. Not only will this hurt people’s eyes, but it will be highly distracting and rather uncomfortable. Moody lightning always works the best at parties because it achieves the perfect atmosphere for the occasion. Nevertheless, you may also want to consider incorporating colourful lights too. These work particularly well for those who have a dance floor area sectioned off.
Decide on a theme
Once you have sorted out the lights you should determine a theme; what colours are you going to incorporate in your decoration? It is always recommended to go for either two or three colours. Anything more than this can easily look too confusing. A lot of people like to opt for a vibrant colour mixed with a metallic, for example; pink and gold or blue and silver. If you want to incorporate a third colour then white always works well. Alternatively you can opt for another vibrant colour, for example; pink, purple, and gold works well.
Decorate the tables
You need to give a lot of thought to decorating your tables as they are likely to make up a large proportion of your venue. Make sure you opt for eye-catching and dazzling table clothes and finish off with a beautiful centrepiece. There is an array of different types of centrepieces available on the internet today. From balloons to flowers; you are bound to find something to suit your taste and the theme of your party.
Add the finishing touches
Aside from table centrepieces and personalised balloons you need to add a few finishing touches in order to give your venue a five star edge. You won’t be short of options. Bunting is a traditional decoration to incorporate yet it always looks fantastic and offers a great way of making full use of the venue. In addition to this you have everything from banners to glitter to streamers to consider.
