My daughter, Ella’s bedroom is all done in Behr Marquee Wanderlust! It’s a deep, beautiful color and perfect for a teen’s room. We paired it with deep purple and white. Her dresser is The Blush Dresser featured in the post (HERE). I found a great headboard on Craigslist for only $40 and it’s perfect. Both the little mirrored shelf and the wood frame with clips for photos are from HomeGoods. The mirror was given to me by a client and is vintage. The green velvet chair in the corner was featured HERE and is a thrift store redo. The curtains were also a thrift store purchase (HERE) and the little black nightstand was given to me by a neighbor. The large artwork is from Ikea and I couldn’t help myself and kept a little piece of the gold stenciled wall as “artwork” 🙂
Okay, here are the pics!

What a great room for a teenage girl! I’m sure she was a lovely client to work with. I noticed the Stars Hollow print. Is that from the Gilmore Girls? Don’t we all secretly want to live in Stars Hollow? LOL
Suzanne
Very perceptive! It is her favorite show and yes, we both really would love to live in Stars Hollow! I think that we all do – you are so right!

Because the walls were stenciled, I’m curious as to whether or not you had to do any sanding, etc. to the walls prior to painting them in the current color. If no sanding, etc. was done prior to the current paint being applied, did you not have a problem with the outline of the gold stenciling showing through the current paint?
Suzanne
Hi Sandra, I was pleasantly surprised that they did not need sanding. The paint was so dark and covered really well. There are no marks from the stenciling – whew! Thanks!

The room looks wonderful. I bet Ella loves her new sophisticated room.
Suzanne
Thank you, Debra! Yes, she really loves it!
