I first posted my Hydrangea Hues Inspired Buffet a few years back but with my hydrangea bush starting to bud, it deserves another glance!
My all time, favorite summer flowering bush is the hydrangea. I just love the vibrant big balls of blue and pink. This french country Bassett buffet complements the fading flowers that I adore. The color combo of Annie Sloan Provence with a wash of Coco created the Hydrangea Hues Inspired Buffet!
The top was refinished and stained to set off the distressing on the body.
Here are my cut blooms on my mantel from last year.
Summer!
Beautiful, subtle color! I love it.
Thank you Teri!
Just beautiful. I have to agree hydrangeas are the best.
They are by far the best. My sister has a beach house on Long Island and the hydrangea’s there are just spectacular. Plus, they are the color of my girl’s eyes
Cheers!
It’s just awesome! So understated that it has a big impact!!
Thank you, Jan! It is understated – I love that term. Thanks!
Love the color. Buffets are my favorite piece of furniture.
They are mine, too! The way that they can be transformed is quite amazing. Plus, they are so useful. Cheers!
I would never have thought of painting with those two colours, but I really like the result. It’s gorgeous, Suzanne.
Thank you, Mary! It really is a beautiful combo – quite unexpected!

Now that’s a ASCP color combination I would not have even thought to try – it’s beautiful Suzanne!
