I have never done an outdoor market before and have my first one coming up on the 18/19th of May – the Lucketts Annual Spring Market. This is an amazing outdoor market – I mean, really amazing! http://www.luckettstore.com/events/50-spring-marketThere is so much more to contemplate in order to make it successful than one would think. I have ordered a banner, price tags, a card reader so I can accept credit cards, but most of all I have been trying to stock up on pieces to bring. I am only bringing one or two larger pieces and the rest are more end tables, beds, and lighter chests. This one was just finished in a sweet cottage blue… This is a little farmhouse table in a brighter, spring blue…I think that typically people are at an outdoor market for a fun day and maybe not looking to buy a large china cabinet, etc. I have my mother out and about looking for smalls to sell and my husband out there picking up finds – we are all hard at work at The Painted Drawer! I will have my girls there to help, along with my parents and a good friend! Let’s see, I need a cash box and change, food/drink, sunscreen (let’s hope it’s sunny!) or rain gear (yikes!). This is quite a learning curve and I hope it all goes well. Any other tips, anyone? If you do, please share – cheers!
