Whether you are thinking about buying a second home right away or you are just considering it as a possibility for the future, there are many great reasons to do it. What’s more, there is so much in the US on offer and such a huge variation of places that you might want to consider, so it’s definitely worth taking a look at some of them. You don’t need to go anywhere else in the world to find the climate or the landscape you want, after all. Here are some of the very best US destinations that you might want to look into when you are thinking of buying a holiday home.
Daytona Beach, Florida
If what you are mostly after is a whole lot of sun and some very friendly people, then Daytona Beach is your place to go. There is a lot on offer here, and although it has all the things that tourists would love to see, it tends to be one of the quieter parts of Florida, making it more or less a perfect place to set up your second holiday home. You can visit this website to look at some of the most amazing condos in the area, or simply take a walk through this spot to see if anything strikes you.
Waikoloa, Hawaii
If you would like to get off the continental US and look further afield, then Hawaii is an obvious next choice – but you will soon feel spoiled for choice when you do step foot on the islands. One great option that you might want to consider, however, is Waikoloa, which is a surprisingly tame and extraordinarily beautiful part of the world, and yet it has some amazingly low prices on many of the accommodation choices there. So it’s definitely worth looking into if you are keen for a Hawaii holiday home.
Seaside, Oregon
Located about two hours Northwest of Portland, Seaside is a tranquil and truly idyllic little town, and one that not many people have heard about. That is great news when you are buying a home, as the last thing you want is to be completely overrun by tourists and visitors the whole time you are there. At Seaside, you can have a relaxed and easygoing time without having to pay the prices of some other parts of the states. It’s really the best of both worlds.
Harbor Springs, Michigan
A similar choice to Seaside for how quiet it is, this little area in Michigan is nonetheless something of a local favorite when it comes to summer vacations. Whether you want to swim or kayak in the lake, or you are just thinking about finding somewhere to chill in the evenings in the woods, you can find it all at Harbor Springs. The property market here is quite buoyant, so make sure that you are checking out prices at different times of year before you make any deep dives.
Those are just some of the places in the US that you might want to buy a holiday home – but they are all worth considering.
