Here is a sweet little makeover for the week. It seems appropriate because it is pretty and cheerful and we all need more beauty and cheer these days.
This little table started out like any other little thrift store table (not so great!) but with wood filler, Annie Sloan Aubusson and Duck Egg chalk paint and clear wax, it has a new life.
I first added wood filler to fill up the hole (see below) and sanded the top for a smooth finish.
I applied one coat of Aubusson over the entire piece and then a wash of Duck Egg on its legs. I then sanded it back with 220 grit to distress and waxed with the clear wax.
This little table is going to make its way to my neighbor’s beach house, the perfect fit!
