I recorded and published the General Finishes Chalk Style Paint video only to have YouTube tell me that it was using copyrighted material. What? The culprit? I had recorded while Elton John was playing in the background and it picked up the sound as “copyrighted material”. Yikes! I finally figured it out and added a sound track on top of the Elton John..whew! This is why it has taken me so long to publish!

My friend Doug Dohr does a lot of artwork/pinstriping and does it on “live feed” on Facebook – this too – happened to him as well. So crazy, how a simple awesome song can keep a person from posting a video. Glad it all worked out!
Hi Stephanee, wow, you live and you learn. I mean, it was in the background playing on my radio and I had no idea it could cause such problems! I could have published my video and all revenue would have gone to Elton John but I decided he likely has enough money at the moment and I redid it so I can actually make a few dollars out of it lol!
