Warning: this post really has nothing to do with painting or furniture 🙂
In the Washington, DC area, the arrival of spring brings blooming cherry blossom trees. They form a beautiful canopy over our streets. I always take the kids downtown on their break. We trek to the Tidal Basin to walk along the water under the cherry blossoms along with all of the other tourists from around the world. We have a picnic lunch under the Washington Monument… and visit the Smithsonian Museums. This year at the Natural History Museum, Sophie held a large cockroach (that is thankfully only found in Madagascar)…Ella saw an exhibit all about Australian wildlife and her beloved koalas…and we oohed and aahed over the Hope Diamond. How lucky are we?!
