Finally! The very dated cabinet is finished and looks modern, clean and bright in its new coat of paint!
Part 1: I first cleaned the old dear…
Part 2: added the first coat…
Part 3: finally… replaced the backing, added wallpaper, inserted the glass shelves into new slots (I was given the wrong shelves but we made them fit by using a dremel tool to cut out new inserts for the shelves, whew)…
And here she is today!
This one was a TON of work! But well worth it! Just listed on Etsy 🙂
Have a wonderful day!

Everything about it is perfect. Your taste in color, drawer pulls and floral lining is absolutely spot on. Somebody is getting a gorgeous addition to their home and there won’t be another one like it in the world. Well done!

Hi Suzanne! The color and wallpaper are do pretty. Did you not have problems with bleedthrough? I haven’t used Behr chalk paint. Does it have latex in it? How would you compare it to other brands like Dixie Belle or Annie Sloan? Great job. Did you find a diamond earing?
Suzanne
Hi Cheryl, I did not have any issues with bleedthrough. However, the blue was a very deep tint. If I was going for white, I would have first primed it. I am about to try a new product from Dixie Belle paints that is a protective coat to prevent bleedthrough. I’ll do a post on it when I do. I’ve heard good things about it.

Gorgeous! Love the hardware too!

Thank you so much!
