Sorry it has been so long since I last posted. I fell ill with a super bad cold that is now making its way through our house. Sophie is in bed with it today and home from school. Anyway, before I came down with this nasty bug, I went out to the thrift store and I have been waiting to share my find with you all – my “new” lamp.
I brought it home and Ella immediately said, “It looks like it’s from Downton Abbey” – love it! I needed a reading lamp in that corner of our family room and it is the perfect size. The neck of the lamp bends so it can be moved up or down and the switch is actually a round button on the floor that is turned off and on by stepping on it. It came with the lamp shade so all I had to do was add a lightbulb. For $10.00, it was quite the score 🙂
I took the pics before I gave it a good clean lol! I have more to share with you tomorrow. I managed to score the perfect ottoman/coffee table plus I found a fantastic little table to paint. It was a good week until I got sick 😉

It is SO good when you find for $10 what you would have to pay at least $75 for in the store! Lucky days indeed!
