Favorite Find Monday – Vintage Dining Room Chairs

4 January, 2016 by Suzanne

I have a ton of work waiting for me in my garage, which is both slightly intimidating but highly exciting.  Remember my post yesterday all about my word for 2016 – balance?  I’ll need some serious balance to get this done on time and keep my house from falling apart at the same time 😉

This week, I am working on these beautiful dining room chairs.  My client wants her new home to feel a little lighter and brighter.  She wishes to maintain her traditional style while adding a more modern touch.  Painting these lovely chairs in a soft, creamy white will definitely do the trick!  She is also having the chairs reupholstered and will choose the fabric as soon as I deliver one of the finished, painted chairs back to her.  She really needs to see the finish before choosing the fabric.  These chairs are about to be completely transformed!

Aren’t they lovely?DSC_1862 DSC_1863 DSC_1864

I published a few YouTube videos on how to sand back and wax dining room chairs.  This is what I shall be busy doing this week!

Those chairs are beautiful! Are you doing the reupholstering?

Hi Janice, no, I am not doing the reupholstering as its out of my skill level! I am looking forward to seeing them painted with the new fabric myself!

Wow, they are some beautiful chairs. Looking forward to seeing the first one done.
Love those two little blue chairs next to them in the garage too, how cute are they?

I really hope we get to see the finished product. I love everything you do. And I think it is wonderful the way you share your knowledge. Still haven’t opened a can of paint but when I do I will be so-so instead of terrible thanks to you…lol

The lovely detail on the chairs will be gorgeous after they receive some TPD love! Have fun with the project!
