What a weekend! My husband was out of town and I was busy chauffeuring the kids to baseball games, birthday parties and my son and friends to celebrate his 16th. He will be able to drive soon (yikes!) and I must admit that it will be helpful on weekends like this past one. I can’t be the only mother who is both terrified and selfishly looking forward to the prospect of their kid driving!
Even though last week was insane and I didn’t get a chance to really search for new pieces, I do have a favorite find to share today. This is a great desk that I bartered for from my friend, Jen. She had a darling, vintage dresser that she wanted me to re-do for her daughter’s room. In return, she handed over this great french country desk. Win win! This all happened many months ago and I am glad to finally dig it out of the back of my garage and start working on it.
Here is the lovely dresser that I did for Jen’s daughter. It looks fantastic in her little girl’s room and she was thrilled.
I am pretty psyched that the weather has cooled down and I can get back to working in my garage. Plus, there are no birthdays coming up and the back to school craziness is over. A good day!
