It has taken me all week but I can now say that the Drexel Triune Dresser is done! What a truly stunning piece. It was transformed to create a rather rustic/glam vibe with a rustic, refinished top in a dark stain and sleek black on the body. The original hardware is aged to perfection and sets off the piece perfectly. I am in love!

Turned out beautiful!! Enjoy your blog so very much…how you turn ugliness into beauty
Oh wow. Another masterpiece. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant.
What an awesome piece of furniture to begin with Suzanne but you just made it fabulous! Love the juxtaposition between the lamp black and the gold hardware and painted feet. Beautiful!!!
It seems like everyone of your transformations lately have taken my breath away and this one is no different…AND IT’S A DREXEL!!! I just may have to hook up some extra oxygen before reading your blog everyday!
love this one- a classic!
Man! What a difference! You make me want to go check out some General Finishes paint! I’m really excited about the link party today.
This is one of the best I have seen. Not a fan of the gold hardware, but you made it look wonderful. Such a lovely piece now. Nice vision on your part.
Thank you so much Jane!
You have done a great job as usual. I love what you have done and the hardware brought this piece to life and given it a new purpose (love the gold feet). Great paint choice, it is daring.
Thanks, Tracy!
I love it!
Really an inspired treatment that perfectly fits the piece!
Stunning–Lamp Black just makes everything look richer. I’d have a hard time parting with that beauty! Awesome transformation, Suzanne!

Fantastic finished job. Wow….looks great.
This piece is stunning! I can’t imagine how much time you’ve put into this but wow it was totally worth it. I’m in love!
I know I’ve already commented but I just wanted to let you know that this is going to be one of my features on Monday at the Something to Talk About Link Party. I can’t stop thinking about it
I wish I could find more pieces like this – simply stunning Suzanne! Happy to feature you at Be Inspired this morning. Thanks so much for sharing!
Beautiful. Classy. Timeless!
Thank you so much!
This is one of my favorite pieces and styles. Did you use a white primer under the black milk paint or do you tint for primer?
Hi Vicki – I actually didn’t use a primer. The milk paint works well without one – especially over a dark wood. Cheers!
